I helped redesign the merchant facing communications which involved redesign email templates along with a series of product animations.
Out with the old
Before the rebrand, Motive's icons were inconsistent across product and marketing — different teams building icons independently with no shared visual language, which fractured the brand experience between what customers saw in the product and what they saw in marketing.
In with the new
Designed a unified icon system that could be used consistently across both product and marketing surfaces, then built a detailed construction guide documenting the underlying rules (grid, stroke weight, corner radius, construction logic) so future icons could be created by other designers and still stay consistent with the system — rather than the system depending on me to maintain it.
Results
Replaced fragmented, team-by-team icon creation with a single consistent visual language across product and marketing, backed by documentation that lets the system scale without ongoing bottleneck.
